The Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer has shattered the records of Saif Ali Khan's Blockbuster movie Race 2, which was the biggest opener of the year in all above mentioned countries. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani has been creating positive buzz, ever since producer Karan Johar announced it - mainly for the association of Ranbir Kapoor's with his ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone. The makers had massive publicity for it along with its lead actors promoting it on several TV shows. Adding to this, the movie garnered positive reviews from film critics and a good word of mouth from the film goers across the globe. The Karan Johar-produced romantic thriller opened to an overwhelming response at the worldwide Box Office with its occupancy ranging between an average of 90% and 100% everywhere on Friday. Whereas the two days numbers (Rs 39.61 cr in India and Rs 15.54 cr overseas) of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani are closer to the weekend total of Race 2. As per early trends, the collection of the Ranbir-Deepika starrer is sure to surpass Rs 85 crore mark worldwide in its opening weekend.
